What is Mucopolysaccharidosis?

Meet Saniyah Pumphrey from Maryland. She has Morquio Syndrome IVA.
Mucopolysaccharidosis type IV (MPS IV), also known as Morquio syndrome, is a progressive condition that mainly affects the skeleton. Affected individuals develop various skeletal abnormalities, including short stature, knock knees, and abnormalities of the ribs, chest, spine, hips, and wrists. Morquio Syndrome is one of approximately 7,000 rare diseases.

Meet Maria, from Pakistan. She too has Morquio Syndrome IV. Her mother reached out months ago letting us know that the work in supporting the National MPS Society was a great thing. They needed support in getting to the USA for surgery and treatments. The universe responded because they made it to Delaware before the New Year so that Maria could get her surgery and treatments.
