Service Description

Yin is a passive practice, meaning the muscles are not engaged. The intention is to target the body's deep connective tissue. Including ligaments, joints, deep fascial networks and bones for a period of time with significance of joint health. This over time supports synovial fluid circulation (hydration) and improves or maintains the body's overall flexibility and mobility. Who could benefit from Yin Yoga? 1. In recovery from Chronic Illness of the mind and body: learn and gain physical, energetic, and mental/emotional benefits by focusing on posture flows that stimulate and nourish the kidneys, urinary bladder, liver, gallbladder, stomach, spleen, lungs, and heart meridians (pathways in the body along which vital energy is said to flow). 2. The Athletic Individual: seeks to strengthen, lengthen, and hydrate tissues to promote recovery and prevent injury. Fascia connects every part of the body, so by caring for the fascia, the athlete maximizes physical performance and muscle flexibility. 3. High-Stressed Individuals: gives us a platform to stop and explore our relationships with ourselves, not just physically, but with the scattered restless, dismissed parts of our mental/emotional selves. 4. An older individual: helps to counter the natural rigidity of growing older. It can help older persons regain mobility, especially in their joints and rekindle the flow of energy through their bodies. 5. An Inactive Individual: it doesn't require effort, yet it can dramatically shift our mood. Continuing Education hours provided to Yoga Teachers Location: Online Zoom link provided upon booking
